Subject: Cyprus vessels approaching U.S. waters
1. Due to recent terrorist attacks in New York and Washington D.C. - USA, the US Coast Guard has issued new guidelines for vessels approaching US waters.
2. All Owners, Managers and Representatives of ships under the Cyprus Flag operating vessels to and from the USA are kindly requested to check the following web-site for any recent updates:
3. Specifically for the New York area, all operators must fax a copy of the crew list to the local US Coast Guard office before permission is given for the vessel to enter port. The New York arrival desk telephone number is +917 376-5666 and all operators must contact this number before a copy of the crew list is faxed. It is underlined that the crew list must be faxed to US Coast Guard from the operator’s office and not from the ship.
