All Recognized and Authorized Classification Societies All Owners, Managers And Representatives of Ships Under the Cyprus Flag

Subject: ΙΜΟ Resolution A. 761 (18) as amended. Liferaft servicing stations approved and certified by SOLAS Contracting Governments or Recognized Organizations (RO_s).

I refer to the above subject and further to my Circular No. 5/2001 dated 08/02/2001, I wish to inform you the following:

1. A considerable number of shipowners and the associations of servicing stations of a number of countries have applied to this Administration to accept liferaft servicing stations approved and certified by their governments.

Having considered the terms and conditions under which servicing stations are being approved and certified by such SOLAS contracting governments, we hereby inform you that we accept them to provide their services to Cyprus Flag ships, on condition that they posses a valid license issued by the competent Authority of the country, where the station is located. The list of countries for which such approval has so far been granted is shown in Annex I.

2. We also accept, particularly in countries not mentioned on the list in Annex I, Liferaft Servicing Stations, which are approved and certified by Organizations recognized by Cyprus in accordance with IMO Resolution A. 761(18) as amended, and IACS UR Z17.
